In an emotional video filled with regrets that has gone viral, Maryam Adam has made a third passionate appeal to Dr. Ahmad Isa, the Ordinary President of Brekete Family, to forgive her and withdraw the defamation suit against her.

Visibly remorseful, Maryam invoked the Ka'aba, the Prophet Muhammad and the 99 names of Allah, saying her apology was from her heart and not forced by anyone.

"I know what I did to the founder of Brekete Family was wrong. Regardless, Brekete Family is like a leader to the entire populace of Nigeria, especially the Northern region," she said.

Explaining what triggered her outburst, she admitted she reacted angrily after seeing a clipped video of the Ordinary President reacting angrily to the Marabar Jos tragedy.

"An excerpt where he was insulting was clipped and posted. When I saw it, I became angry because we have parents, grandparents, relatives and everyone in Marabar Jos, and we also reside there. I became angry, went ahead to make a video in response, and uttered unpleasant words against him," she confessed.

She described the Ordinary President as a good man and a leader who has done many commendable things in Marabar Jos, and pleaded that her personal mistake should not stop his humanitarian work in the community.

"The humanitarian work being carried out in Marabar Jos, for God's sake, please continue doing it. Do not let my offense affect the rest of the people of Marabar Jos. I swear by the greatness of Allah, no one was happy with what happened there," she said.

She ended with prayers: "For the sake of God's greatness, for the sake of the Holy Ka'aba, please forgive me. May Almighty God calm your heart, may He cleanse your heart and may He forgive us."

The apology comes against the backdrop of a criminal defamation case filed by Dr. Ahmad Isa through his counsel, Fatima Umar Bala Esq. of Darayn Attorneys.

Court filings at the Chief Magistrate Court, Kabala Doki, Kaduna, Case No: KMD/97CU/26, show the case stems from the tragic jungle justice lynching of a woman, Malama Ummulkhairi, in Maraban Jos, Kaduna, over alleged child theft. After the incident, a clipped video of Dr. Isa's angry reaction circulated.

Maryam allegedly responded with an abusive video, calling the broadcaster "dabba" (animal) and "mahaukaci" (madman) to ridicule his character.

The court has ordered her to appear in person on August 3, 2026. All eyes are now on the Ordinary President, renowned for human rights advocacy and reconciliation, to see whether he will accept the olive branch and settle out of court.
