Kaduna Political Awards: Umar Sani Abdullahi Receives Nomination Certificate

The National Chairman of Space Division of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), referred to as Nigerian Institution of Space Engineers (NISEng) and Special Assistant Technical (SA-Technical) to the Director/CEO Centre for Satellite Technology Development, Engr. Dr. Umar Sani Abdullahi has received his Nomination Certificate for the forthcoming KADUNA POLITICAL AWARDS.

Umar Sani, who will be receiving a SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD, commended KADUNA POLITICAL AFFAIRS for the initiative, while calling on the good people of Kaduna state to support the platform.

"My name is Engr. Dr. Umar Sani Abdullahi. I am an indigine of Kaduna state. A proud one. And today, this reputable organization has contacted me with no prior links to them. I am not actively into politics but they have identified me and they have selected me to be part of those that would receive an award under the category they have for those who are excelling in various endeavors of human activity, that have impact to the societies and have portrayed Kaduna in a very good light. I'm really honoured. I'm privileged. I don't take it for granted. And i really commend them for their selflessness. For the Noble idea they have to bring Kaduna people together. I think everybody would agree that over the years Kaduna has been one of the states that has been ravaged by a lot of differences. By ethnicity and religion, and sometimes it's even not that, It's largely linked to politics. We used to live very peacefully. We used to be loving community. I grew up in Ungwan rimi, my neighbors were Yoruba Christians and my parents would go out and leave me with them and they would actually dress us up to islamiya school. I still remember them till today. Aunty Folake. She is very close to us. And we never had these issues. But over the years with democracy and the doings and undoings of Politicians, sadly it has become what it is. So i think this is really commendable. I find it really good. I hope that they continue to sustain it, to withstand the pressure because it is really difficult to survive in this terrain in a sort of neutral platform. Therefore i call on all loving people of Kaduna and residents, because as we are aware now Kaduna is trying to take the bull by the horn by saying you don't even have to be an indigene. Even a resident of Kaduna is equally entitled as everyone else. So if we are opening up to that level then we should support this platform. We should support these people who are going places to identify people, so that others would also emulate and do things that would bring honour to the state and to the country. And together we can take Kaduna to the promised Land. I really thank them. I will continue to do what we do to have impact. I'm currently the National chairman of space division of engineers in Nigeria, amongst other things. And i promise to do what whatever we can to make sure we take young people and give them power and opportunities so that they can use their brains and God's given talents to take our country and our state to the next level," he said.
